Tue September 26, 2006 Source: www.giantsrl.comStuart Jones, the Huddersfield Giants back row forward, has signed a contract extension with the Giants that will keep him at the Galpharm Stadium until November 2008. Head Coach Jon Sharp said: "I am very pleased that we have been able to extend Stuart's contract. He has been one of our most consistent performers over the past three seasons, His ability to play both front row and back row and his great work ethic makes him a very valuable member of our squad."Stuart Jones said: "When the offer arrived I had no hesitation in re-signing. I've had a great time at the club, and I'm delighted I'll be here for at least the next two seasons. I've seen how this club has grown in the three years I've been here, and I know it will continue to grow, both on and off the field."News sent by: www.giantsrl.comFri March 10, 2006 Source: www.giants.rl.comStuart Jones and the Huddersfield Giants will go into Sunday's massive home Super League clash against leaders St Helens with no fear. Saints are the only side so far this season with a 100% record from their opening four matches, including wins against Leeds and Harlequins. But former St Helens' second-rower Jones believes the Giants can make life difficult for the visitors to the Galpharm on Sunday. "It's going to be tough, we know that," said the 24-year-old England international. "But we're also confident, and we know that if we can compete to our full potential anything is possible. We're full of respect for them, but we don't fear them. We're well aware we need to show a big improvement from the way we played at Wakefield. Steps have obviously been taken this week to try and sort things out, and hopefully that's done the trick. We appreciate we need to be at our very best to compete against Saints, because they have started the season in devastating form."Jones joined the Giants from St Helens two years ago, but admits that will count for little. "It means less and less to me now," he added. "A lot of the players and coaches have changed since I left, so I don't think it will affect how I play."News sent by: www.giants.rl.com
