Source: www.newtownjets.comCoach Greg Matterson and his staff had the 2010 Newtown Jets NSW Cup squad back in harness yesterday afternoon after their short break for Christmas and New Year.
The Jets were straight back into serious training mode with the first trial match only a few weeks away and the opening round of the 2010 NSW Cup premiership competition set down for the weekend of the 13th/14th March.
Full details will soon be posted of all four trial matches to be played (commencing in mid-February) and the complete 2010 NSW cup draw.

Charlie Leaeno:
23; 190cm; 120kg; Front-Rower; has played NRL with both the St George-Illawarra and Canterbury-Bankstown clubs; has represented the Samoan national rugby league team; was a member of last year's NSW Cup premiership-winning team; a Hurstville United junior product.

Bulldogs coach Steve Folkes commented,
"Charlie is a big, strong front rower. He'll come to us with the knowledge that with a good off season he'll be in the mix for a spot in the 17."Leaneo, 21, has been with the Dragons club since 2002 and has scored three tries in six first grade games.
