Source: www.titans.com.auTwenty one year old Josh Lewis has signed a three year deal with the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans and will commence training with the team this afternoon after being granted an immediate release by the Sydney Roosters.
A dangerous and robust half back / five-eighth, Josh is a dangerous attacking weapon who steps off both feet and possesses one of the best kicking games in the NRL.
A Leichhardt Wanderers junior, Lewis stormed onto the first grade scene with the Sydney Roosters in round 14 of the 2006 Premiership against the New Zealand Warriors, the 180cm, 86kg half, mesmerising his opposition with constant attacking runs and a precise kicking game.
Jetstar Gold Coast Titans Coach John Cartwright says Lewis will provide a whole new dimension in attack for the Gold Coast club.
Cartwright said,
"Josh is an exciting half back/ five-eighth option for the club who at such a young age provides us with great depth in the halves. We are very fortunate to have secured his services immediately and I am confident he will prove to be a very valuable member of the first grade squad."Lewis will join his new team mates at this afternoon's training session being held at the Runaway Bay Junior Rugby League Grounds.

Mitchell Pearce has been selected to make his first grade debut this Saturday night against North Queensland in Townsville after an updated Sydney Roosters side was announced today.
The Roosters filed through an unchanged squad that went down to 18-6 South Sydney on Monday night to meet Big League deadlines, but coach Chris Anderson has decided upon changes that have to be made after Monday's performance.
Pearce replaces Josh Lewis in the halfback position.
Braith Anasta has been moved from lock to five-eighth with Mitchell Aubusson moved back to the bench. Nate Myles comes into the second-row with Anthony Tupou moving back to lock. The introduction of Myles into the starting side is to add further strength and muscle at the beginning, which the Roosters were completely over powered by Souths in the forwards on Monday night.
The remainder of the Roosters side remains in tact with Amos Roberts to make his return for Newtown in Premier League this weekend.
It won't be the first or last time that clubs who play on Monday night announce ammended sides on the Wednesday or Thursday once the recovery and video sessions are done and the possibility of new combinations is looked at.
In some ways it's a smart move by Anderson naming Pearce later in the week as the pressure on him is going to be unbearable being the son of former Australian International Wayne Pearce - who was a team-mate of Anderson's on the undefeated 1982 Kangaroo Tour and during the 1983 State of Origin series.
The Roosters enjoyed two victories over the Cowboys last year including the infamous Brett Finch game where he made denegrating remarks to the Roosters supporters, which ultimately back fired on him. The Roosters will be hoping to continue their recent run over North Queensland and get their season on track for the year ahead.
