Benji Marshall is in line for the top title while four of his Four Nations Kiwi team-mates are also short-listed for positional accolades at the Rugby League International Federation International Player of the Year Awards dinner at the historic Tower of London.
Kiwi captain Marshall (Wests Tigers), the 2010 Golden Boot winner, is vying with Melbourne's Australian internationals Billy Slater and Cameron Smith for the International Player of the Year award.
Manly's Kieran Foran is finalist for Standoff of the Year along with Marshall while Jason Nightingale is in the running for the Winger of the Year, Wests Tigers-bound Adam Blair (Melbourne) for Prop of the Year and Thomas Leuluai (Wigan) and Issac Luke (South Sydney) for Hooker of the Year.
Melbourne's Kiwi winger Matt Duffie, ruled out of the Four Nations after making his debut in this year's Anzac Test, is one of the three finalists for International Rookie of the Year.
Beaten NRL grand finalists the Warriors have two finalists - James Maloney (standoff) and Feleti Mateo (second rower) - but the club's 2011 Player of the Year Simon Mannering is a surprising omission. He hasn't missed a game this year, playing all 28 NRL games plus the Anzac Test against the Kangaroos and the two internationals against Australia last month.
The two winning coaches of the Super League and NRL grand finals Brian McDermott (Leeds Rhinos) and Des Hasler (Manly Sea Eagles) are shortlisted for Coach of the Year alongside Craig Bellamy (Melbourne Storm).
Apart from Duffie the shortlist for International Rookie of the Year includes Australians Jharal Yow Yeh and Jamal Idris. Rookies are deemed to be players who were under 21 at the start of the voting period - October 4, 2010 to October 8, 2011 - and who made their full international debut in that time. No Super League players met the criteria for 2011 Rookie of the Year.
The massive depth of talent on both sides of the world is illustrated in the shortlists for International Team of the Year, which features nine positions.
The RLIF International Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Team of the Year awards are determined by a secret ballot of a 20-strong selection panel, 10 from each hemisphere comprising former players and coaches, journalists and broadcasters.
England and Australia are represented in the shortlist for Referee of the Year, which features current Gillette Four Nations referees Phil Bentham (England) plus Australians Matt Cecchin and Tony Archer.
The RLIF will also announce the 22 winners of the Nations' Players of the Year and make a special presentation, the 2011 Spirit of Rugby League Award, to an individual who is deemed to have made a significant contribution to the game in their lifetime.
The shortlists for the 2011 RLIF International Player of the Year awards in full are as follows:

Source: www.warriors.co.nzFeleti Mateo and Lewis Brown are both set to reach career milestones when the Vodafone Warriors resume their NRL campaign against the Sydney Roosters on June 4 after this weekend's bye.
After featuring in each of the club's first 11 matches of the season, off-season signing Mateo is in line to make his 100th NRL appearance (the first 88 for Parramatta) while Brown, who made his Kiwi Test debut on May 6, will be in contention to play his 50th first-grade game since his first outing for the Vodafone Warriors in 2009.
Mateo, Brown and other frontline NRL players have been given some time off training this week after helping the side to one of the best starts to a season in the club's history. With two points to be added for their bye next weekend, the Vodafone Warriors will be sitting on 16 points at the end of the 12th round after a 7-4 win-loss record in their first 11 matches.
While the Vodafone Warriors are sixth on the ladder after 11 rounds, the 2010 NYC premiership-winning Vodafone Junior Warriors are running second just behind Melbourne in their competition. The combined efforts of the two sides have the Vodafone Warriors second in their defence of the Club Championship, a title which, like the NYC, they won for the first time last year.
At the same time a number of Vodafone Warriors NRL squad members have been appearing regularly for the well-performed Auckland Vulcans, who have vaulted to the top of the New South Wales Cup after beating Balmain Ryde 40-18 last Saturday (they've won eight of their 10 matches so far and are unbeaten away).
With 11 rounds gone in the NRL, Vodafone Warriors standoff James Maloney is again among the leading points-scorers. He amassed 188 points last year and already has 85 so far this season, third equal behind North Queensland's Johnathan Thurston (96). Maloney is also fifth equal among the top line breakers with eight (Canterbury-Bankstown's Ben Barba leads with 12).
Mateo leads all players for most off loads so far with 35 and winger Krisnan Inu is in the frame as one of the leading try-scorers, his six in 10 games raking him eighth equal.
Mateo and Brown feature in the list for most runs and most metres, Mateo eighth for most runs with 155 and 14th for most metres with 1231 while Brown is 12th equal for most runs with 143 and 10th for most metres with 1276. Inu is 15th for most tackle breaks with 43 and loose forward Micheal Luck is inevitably one of the top tacklers, third equal with 443 so far.
Five players - Brown, Luck, Mateo, Ben Matulino and Simon Mannering - have appeared in each of the Vodafone Warriors' 11 matches so far while another four have missed just one game.
