Source: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukBradford Bulls have today announced they have signed their former three quarter Nathan McAvoy. McAvoy spent time at both Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors last season and Bulls Coach Steve McNamara moved quickly to sign his former team mate when he became aware of his availability.
McAvoy made 91 appearances for the Bulls between 1998 and 2002, scoring 53 tries. He has rejoined the Bulls on an initial one-year contract and will be given the Number 2 Squad Number.
Speaking today Nathan McAvoy said:
"I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to come back to Bradford Bulls. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them before and enjoyed a lot of success. It's great that I will once again be playing in front of the tremendous Bradford supporters."Steve McNamara is delighted to have captured Nathan:
"I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to strengthen our squad. The loss of Marcus Bai was a shock to us and to be able to strengthen our backline with a player who is a good person, a good athlete and a player who played with a lot of confidence at the back end of last season is a big bonus for us. It's good to have him on board and he will stiffen the competition for places this year."News sent by:
