He may be the oldest player in Engage Super League by some distance but Steve Menzies will be the man Wigan Warriors need to stop if they are to stay on course for a return to Old Trafford.
The Manly Sea Eagles legend was 34 when he arrived in England to play for Bradford Bulls but, as he approaches his 38th birthday, he is showing no sign of letting up.
The former Kangaroos forward was last week named in the 2011 Super League Dream Team after playing a key role in the resurgence of last year's wooden spoonists Catalan Dragons and demonstrated his value to the side by scoring two tries in their opening play-off win over Hull KR last Saturday.
That earned the Perpignan club a meeting with the defending champions at the DW Stadium tomorrow, where Menzies scored a brace of tries in a shock 47-28 victory in April.
The Catalans followed that up by completing the Super League double with a 20-12 win in Montpellier two months later, ensuring that the Warriors will be treating their French visitors - and Menzies in particular - with respect.
"He's a quality player," said Wigan coach Michael Maguire. "It's great to see, after the years and years I've watched him back in Australia.
"He's come over and performed the way he is, he's like a young kid again. He's definitely one of the greats in the game and it's a credit to him to keep playing the way he is."
Menzies is three years older than his club coach, Trent Robinson, whose admiration for his fellow countryman is matched only by his amazement.
"I've coached guys older than me before but Steve doesn't make it feel that way," said 34-year-old Robinson.
"I'm not really sure how he can keep his standards so high. Usually around that age, you are starting getting more conservative in your play, restricting yourself to what you're physically capable of.
"But his body has not told him that yet and mentally he's quite a free spirit. I don't know if I've seen that before."

Evergreen forward Steve Menzies is one of six new faces in the 2011 Engage Super League Dream Team.
The former Australia international, who turns 38 in December, is showing no sign of letting up and he recently signed a new contract with Catalan Dragons for 2012 that will make him the oldest player ever to appear in Super League.
His form was today recognised by his selection in the mythical dream team chosen by a panel of journalists based on form throughout the regular season, which came to a close yesterday when Menzies scored twice in the Dragons' 44-18 win at Salford City Reds.
"It's obviously great being recognised," he said at the team's unveiling at Old Trafford.
"I've been really happy with the way I've played this year. Personally I think it's been my best season since coming to the UK."
Menzies is joined in the line-up by team-mate Scott Dureau and four other debutants, Castleford Tigers stand-off Rangi Chase, Warrington Wolves prop Garreth Carvell and wingers Tom Briscoe (Hull FC) and Joel Monaghan (Warrington).
Super League's big three, Warrington, Wigan Warriors and St Helens, provide nine of the 13 players, while Leeds Rhinos have no representation for the first time since 1998.
Wigan full-back Sam Tomkins makes his third successive appearance, having been selected at stand-off in 2009 and 2010, while Hull centre Kirk Yeaman's return to form is recognised with his recall after a five-year absence.
Dream team: Sam Tomkins (Wigan); Tom Briscoe (Hull), Kirk Yeaman (Hull), George Carmont (Wigan), Joel Monaghan (Warrington); Rangi Chase (Castleford), Scott Dureau (Catalan); James Graham (St Helens), James Roby (St Helens), Gareth Carvell (Warrington), Ben Westwood (Warrington), Steve Menzies (Catalan), Sean O'Loughlin (Wigan).
