Millard Set For Operation
Fri September 21, 2007
Source: www.wiganwarriors.com

Wigan Warriors hooker, Shane Millard today admitted that he may be facing surgery which could end his career.

Millard said,

"The club are aware that I have been playing with considerable knee pain which is limiting me in both match play and training. I am desperate to help the club to finish the season by doing well in the Play-Offs and I am delaying surgery until after our last game."

Brian Noble said,

"Shane has been a real pro and we are aware how serious his knee is. Surgeons believe that it could well bring an early end to his career but we will know more when they operate. In the meantime we acknowledge that Shane is giving us his best in very trying circumstances."

Millard added,

"I have already seen the surgeon who will give me the final opinion after the last game but I may well have to face the facts."
