Catalans Dragons prolific try scoring winger Justin Murphy celebrated another scrap book moment with a bottle of champagne on Monday as he was unveiled in the engage Super League 2006 Dream Team.
The Australian flier, who had a brief spell with Widnes Vikings two years ago, finished the regular season on top of the try scoring charts with 25 tries in 28 matches, two clear of nearest rival Danny McGuire from the Leeds Rhinos. Murphy has now topped the try scoring charts for the second season in a row after scoring an amazing 45 tries in last year's French Championship with UTC.
Murphy said,
"I am sure if you told me I would be top of the charts at the end the season in February I would have laughed at you! I am really happy with the way I have been scoring my tries this year and I have to thank the rest of the playing squad who have made the space for me."He added,
"To be included in the engage Dream Team is also another achievement I never dreamed of. The guys picked are all world class in their own positions and it is nice to be recognised for my achievements. I just hope I can continue the same form in next year's competition which won't be easy as everyone now knows who I am!"Justin was presented with his bottle of champagne by engage Mutual Assurance Sponsorship Manager Tina Clare:
"It is a great achievement by Justin and just goes to show how even the engage Super League has been this year. Although finishing bottom of the table, the Catalan Dragons have certainly added to the competition on and off the field and I am sure everyone is looking forward to visiting Perpignan once again next year."The 2006 engage Super League Dream Team (previous Dream Team appearances in square brackets):

Justin Murphy of Catalans Dragons became the first player from a bottom club to finish as the Super League's top try scorer. The Australian winger finished with 25 tries after playing in all 28 rounds.
Previously, the player from the lowest placed club to finish as Super League's leading try scorer was Nigel Vagana with 17 tries for ninth-placed Warrington Wolves in 1997. The New Zealand centre's tries came in a 22-match programme.
* Murphy's feat is a rare co-incidence as Nathan Merritt of the South Sydney Rabbitohs finished as the leading try-scorer in Australia's National Rugby League competition and it was the first time a player from a last placed club finished on top down-under.
