Sun September 23, 2007 Source: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukBradford Bulls have today confirmed the capture of five players as they look ahead to the 2008 engage Super League season. Centre or Back Row Forward Chris Nero joins from Huddersfield Giants on a three year contract with Half Back Ben Jeffries, two years, and Winger Semi Tadulala, one year, joining from Wakefield Wildcats. The Bulls have also announced the signing of Hooker Wayne Godwin from Hull FC on a one year deal and have confirmed that Back Row Forward Simon Finnigan has left relegated Salford City Reds to sign a one year deal at the Grattan Stadium. Commenting on the signings Bulls Coach Steve McNamara said today: "I am delighted to have secured the services of these players. They are all high quality individuals both on and off the field and, together with Paul Sykes, will greatly enhance and improve our current squad. I am looking forward to working with them all and I am confident they will all have successful careers with the club."News sent by: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukSat August 25, 2007 Source: www.giantsrl.comHuddersfield Giants have confirmed that the following players will be leaving the club at the end of the 2007 season - Paul Reilly, Brad Drew and Chris Nero. Giants Managing Director Richard Thewlis commented: "Over the years each of the players have made a significant contribution to the development of the Huddersfield Giants which I am sure will be recognised and acknowledged by our supporters.
"Such has been the media speculation surrounding our players that we felt it appropriate to formalise this news now rather than at the seasons end so that we can all keep our focus on making the top six. It will also give all our supporters the opportunity to turn out in force at our final scheduled home game when we meet the Wakefield Wildcats (Sunday 9th September, KO 3pm) and give these players the send off they deserve.
"I am sure that our supporters will join everyone at the club in thanking the players for their service and wishing them well in the next stages of their careers."Talks are ongoing with the clubs remaining out of contract players. PAUL REILLY COMMENTS: "I have had eleven fantastic years at the club and everyone knows how much Huddersfield means to me and my family. I will always be a Fartown Giant and am very proud of what I have achieved at my hometown club. To look at where we are now compared to when I started, the progression of the club has been almost unbelievable and my memories of the players and games I have played in will never fade. The supporters have always been great to me and I would like to thank them especially for their support of my testimonial. I am hoping to finish off with the Grand Final at Old Trafford."BRAD DREW COMMENTS: "I have had a great time at club but now is the time for me to move on. I would like to thank everyone at the Giants for giving me the chance to play in the Super League and to the fans for giving me such great support. I wish them all the very best for the future. Like the club my focus at the moment is solely on achieving a top six play-off place and then who knows how far we could go."CHRIS NERO COMMENTS: "Firstly I would like to thank everyone at the club including the fans for making my time so enjoyable, they have all made me and my family feel at home from the time we arrived. I feel I have improved a lot as a player in my time here and that is a lot down to the time and effort put in by Sharpy and the coaching staff! That is why my choice not to re sign was a difficult one although I feel the club is getting stronger every year and will be pushing for honours in both competitions next year, I just felt it was time for something different. My obvious highlights were the cup final in 06 although this year we have put ourselves in with a real shot at the play-offs so there should be some exciting times to come before I leave."News sent by: www.giantsrl.com
