Wigan Warriors loose forward Sean O'Loughlin has been ruled out of England's preparations ahead of the 2011 Gillette Four Nations.
The 28-year-old, who led the Warriors to Carnegie Challenge Cup glory in 2011, will have an operation on a troublesome left hip later this week, but will be fit for the start of the Warriors pre-season training.
Meanwhile, England coach Steve McNamara and his medical team will, this week, assess medical reports of all players available for national selection from Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves before announcing his 24-man squad for the Gillette Four Nations on Monday October 10.
England start their Gillette Four Nations campaign on Saturday October 29 when they take on Wales at Leigh Sports Village (2.30pm) with tickets priced at just £10 adults and £5 concessions.
The tournament moves to Wembley Stadium on Saturday November 5 when Wales face New Zealand at 1.00pm before England clash with Australia at 3.30pm.
England's remaining game against New Zealand will be played at the KC Stadium in Hull on Saturday November 12 (6.00pm) and tickets are priced from £20 adult and £10 concession.
The 2011 Gillette Four Nations final will be played at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday November 19 (6.00pm) and tickets are priced from £20 Adult and £10 concession.
Tickets for the 2011 Gillette Four Nations can be purchased by calling 0844 856 1113 or by visiting www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk

Source: www.superleague.co.ukWigan Warriors came through a scrap with Hull FC to move three points clear at the top of the Engage Super League, but the win may have come at some cost for Michael Maguire's side.
With a crunch Challenge Cup semi-final against St Helens just eight days away, the Warriors lost Sean O'Loughlin and Gareth Hock to injury, while star man Sam Tomkins spent time on the sidelines with a shoulder problem in between the two tries he scored.
George Carmont also limped his way through the second half as Wigan had to hold on at times, with Hull briefly coming back at them after four unanswered tries in the first half looked to have put Wigan safe at half-time.
With top spot safely assured for the next fortnight at least, Wigan will now focus on the St Helens game, while Hull, for all their effort and bluster, will fall out of the play-off positions if bitter rivals Hull KR win at Huddersfield Giants tomorrow.
With 28 months having elapsed since their last win over Wigan, Hull started as though they were intent on correcting that statistic and opened the scoring after three minutes.
A late tackle on Richard Horne allowed them to move down field with a penalty and, from there, Horne and Willie Manu linked up to send Kirk Yeaman in at the corner for his 19th try of the season.
They maintained the pressure afterwards too, and forced Wigan into a number of uncharacteristic errors but, against the run of play, Wigan levelled with 13 minutes on the clock.
Having caught Tom Briscoe out of position with an early kick, the Warriors repeated the trick to give Tomkins the ball under the posts and, after wriggling free of Jordan Turner's tackle, he stretched out on his back to score.
Hull thought they had restored their lead when Sam Obst overpowered Jeff Lima to step over the line but, upon review, the video referee deemed that Epalahame Lauaki had obstructed the Wigan defence.
Next it was Hull's turn to have a let-off as Josh Charnley stepped in touch after Briscoe had wandered off his wing again.
With 26 minutes gone Wigan did strike again, Pat Richards picking off Danny Tickle's pass to intercept and race 90 metres to the line.
Wigan's play in and around the 20-metre zone was causing Hull all sorts of problems and, when Richard Whiting became the next home player to misread a kick, Carmont was given the easy task of scoring, especially once the covering Cameron Phelps over-slid the ball.
Hull were on the verge of imploding and when Turner threw a pass to ground on his own line they did, with Richards the grateful beneficiary, although Turner redeemed himself slightly on the stroke of half-time when he got on the end of Horne's kick to make the interval score 10-22.
With Tomkins off the field with a shoulder problem after a strong tackle from Yeaman, Wigan started the second half in an unorganised fashion, especially with Carmont and Ryan Hoffman both hobbling and Hull were quick to take advantage.
After softening Wigan up with a number of strong runs down the middle of the field, they sent Manu flying through on an inside ball to score under the posts, with Tickle adding the goal.
Tomkins returned, as Hock and O'Loughlin left the field injured for Wigan, and a Richards penalty helped add a much-needed modicum of calm for the visitors.
That calm turned into relaxation when Tomkins swooped on Obst's stray pass and raced clear to score, with Richards wrapping up the scoring to take his points tally for the night to 18.
