The second half did not go to plan though for Sea Eagles coach Adam Mogg, who could only watch on as the Magpies rapidly accumulated points to win 62-24.
Magpies halfback Mick Picker compiled a club record 26 points from two tries and nine goals.

Source: www.raiders.com.auCanberra Raiders player Michael Picker will face Yass court on October 5, after he was charged by police on Saturday night following a single motor vehicle accident on Gundaroo Road in Gunning.
Picker was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and will face court on October 5. Picker informed the club of his actions on Sunday morning following the incident.
Raiders CEO Don Furner said the Raiders were relieved that Michael had not been injured or that no one else was hurt in the accident.
"Thankfully Michael has not been seriously hurt in this accident and importantly no one else has been hurt either," Furner said. "The Raiders will allow the court process to run its course before we decide on any further action."
The Raiders will be making no further comment on the issue until Picker faces court on October 5.
