Source: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukBradford Bulls have announced the capture of Penrith Panthers Centre/ Winger Adrian Purtell on a three year contract.
Purtell, who is 26 years old, is 6ft 4" and weighs 99kg, started his career at Canberra Raiders scoring 30 tries in 64 appearances for the Green Machine. He has made 44 appearances for Penrith, scoring 13 tries and was ever present last season whilst missing only four games this year.
Commenting on the decision to join the Bulls, Adrian Purtell said:
"I'm very happy with the decision I've made for the next three years. It's good security for me because I will be 27 by the start of next season and entering the most important years of my career. I'm at a point now where I'm looking for a new challenge and a new experience and this is the biggest challenge I could've taken on. Bradford have been very welcoming from the start and you always want to go to a club where you feel wanted."
Mick Potter is delighted to have captured the player:
"Adrian has played virtually every game in first grade in the past two years, in every position from lock to the wing. He's a big guy with speed and he'll be an asset to our team next season. I'm pleased to get him signed up for a few years. He wanted the security and we needed longevity in our signings so it's a good deal for both sides."

Source: www.panthers.com.auThe Penrith Panthers have today announced the signings of Kevin Kingston from the Parramatta Eels and Adrian Purtell from the Canberra Raiders.
While both players have been linked with the club through media reports for some weeks now, it wasn't until today that both signings have been officially confirmed with both agreeing to terms with the club.
"We have been actively pursuing both players to add to our squad for 2010," CEO Michael Leary said. "However, it hasn't been until today that deals have been finalised with both of them."
"Kevin is an ideal player for our team having gained a lot of experience in making it to this year's grand final. He will fill the void in our hooking role which was left vacant after Paul Aiton's departure.
"Adrian is also a good acquisition giving the team some depth, he had a disrupted season this year but we are confident he will add depth to what is already an exciting backline."
Purtell is contracted for 2 years (2010 &11) while Kingston is signed for 1 year.
