Source: www.wiganwarriors.comWigan Warriors Rugby Manager Kris Radlinski has thrown his support behind the Joining Jack Campaign.
Radlinski is an Ambassador for the campaign which will raise money into Duchenne, a devastating form of muscular Dystrophy for which currently there is no known cure. Jack is Jack Johnson the son of ex-Wigan, Huddersfield, Castleford, London and Salford player Andy who has been diagnosed with the disease.
A charity and website have been set up, the charity is called Joining Jack with all money raised going 100% into research for a cure for Duchenne.
A whole host of former Rugby League stars including Andrew Farrell, Shaun Edwards, Gary Connolly, Jason Robinson and Phil Clarke to name just a few are also ambassadors of the Charity.
Radlinski told us,
"It is devastating news for Andy Johnson and his family to find out that their precious son Jack has this terrible condition but it is wonderful to see that when something like this happens that the Rugby League family comes together to do all they can to help. There will be a number of events and fundraising activities in the weeks and months to come and by setting up the charity it has given Jack's parents Andy and Alex a focus, all monies raised will go into the research for a cure for Duchenne."
If you would like to know more about Jack, his condition and the charity you can at www.joiningjack.org.uk or if you wish to help you can email Kris directly at k.radlinski@wiganwarriors.com . Kris and forty other people are running the Manchester 10km run on Sunday with all proceeds going directly into the fund.

Source: www.wiganwarriors.comWigan Rugby League Club is delighted to announce that Kris Radlinski has been appointed as Rugby General Manager reporting directly to Head Coach, Michael Maguire.
Radlinski will operate as right-hand man to Michael Maguire providing the vital link between the Performance Department and other functions of the Club.
This new role has been created to allow Maguire and his frontline team of coaches and conditioning staff to concentrate on player coaching, performance, discipline and standards with Radlinski ensuring that these are implemented uniformly across the Club from First Team to Scholarship.
Radlinski will also be involved in a variety of direct activities with the First Team operation and will continue his fine work with the Club's Scholarship operation.
Speaking about the new role, Chairman Ian Lenagan said:
"This is an important role within the organisation and an area identified as needing improvement to ensure that today's new standards, disciplines and levels of performance, skills and behaviour required from a Wigan player are the same from Scholarship to First Team. Kris has quickly shown his qualities already in Scholarship Management and in his special role with the England Team and is a perfect candidate. He will liaise between Michael and all other aspects of the Club to enhance the smooth running of the Performance Department."
Head Coach, Michael Maguire, added:
"We are pleased to appoint 'Rads' to this position. One of my first briefs was to take a look at the Club as a whole and to look at areas for improvement and development. Kris suits the role, has the respect of everyone at the Club and I am delighted to be working closely with him."
Kris Radlinski said,
"I am honoured to be given such an important and prestigious position within the Club and look forward to the challenge. I enjoy my work with the Scholarship players and am delighted I will be able to combine the two roles, in particular using my experience to ensure the players understand what it means to play for Wigan whilst also looking after their welfare."
