Four Giants and one Storm added to England train-on squad

Four Huddersfield Giants players have been added to the England train-on squad following Huddersfield's elimination from the Engage Super League play-offs at the weekend.

The Giants quartet - Danny Brough, Eorl Crabtree, Leroy Cudjoe, Luke Robinson - are joined in the train-on squad by Melbourne Storm's Gareth Widdop, who ended his domestic season after Melbourne's loss to New Zealand Warriors in the NRL play-offs.

All five players will join up with the train-on squad from next week as England coach Steve McNamara continues his preparations ahead of the Gillette Four Nations tournament, which starts next month when England take on Australia, New Zealand and Wales.

The England train-on squad in full is as follows:

Meanwhile, the England Knights have added Dale Ferguson, Michael Lawrence, Jermaine McGilvary and Larne Patrick all from Huddersfield to their train-on squad as they begin preparations ahead of their two matches against France and Samoa next month.

England start their Gillette Four Nations campaign on Saturday October 29 when they take on Wales at Leigh Sports Village (2.30pm) with tickets priced at just £10 adults and £5 concessions.

The tournament moves to Wembley Stadium on Saturday November 5 when Wales face New Zealand at 1.00pm before England clash with Australia at 3.30pm.

England's remaining game against New Zealand will be played at the KC Stadium in Hull on Saturday November 12 (6.00pm) and tickets are priced from £20 adult and £10 concession.

The 2011 Gillette Four Nations final will be played at Elland Road, Leeds on Saturday November 19 (6.00pm) and tickets are priced from £20 Adult and £10 concession.

Luke Robinson, Scott Grix and Jermaine McGillvary were amongst the winners at the sold out 2011 Giants Awards evening held at the Galpharm Stadium - with England International Robinson selected by Nathan Brown and his staff for Coaches Player of the Year, whilst also getting the nod from his team mates as Players Player of the Year.

Popular full-back Scott Grix was selected by the fans as Supporters Player of the Year after he received 31% of the vote held on giantsrl.com and 23 year old flyer McGillvary walked away with three awards - 'Giants on Tour' Player of the Year, Most Meters Gained and Top Try scorer.

Hard working back-row forward Lee Gilmour was rewarded for his efforts in defence by picking up the Top Tackler of the Year award, while Michael Lawrence took the accolade for 'Community Player of the Year' due to his commitment in making appearances to promote the club in the local region.

Lawrence was also adjudged the winner of the 'Try of the Season' award which was voted for on the evening by the public attending, with an honourable mention for the role of Leroy Cudjoe in creating what was a memorable score.

The Outstanding Achievement award, selected by the club's board of directors, went to the team which represented the club for the 38-6 victory over Leeds back in April - the first over the Giants West Yorkshire rivals at Headingley in 51 years.

Some of the clubs aspiring young talent were also rewarded for their efforts throughout the year, Ben Whitehead was named the Most Improved Academy player whilst his team mate Elliot Gorman picked up the Under-18's Player of the Year. Hard working back-row forward Joe Fox was named the Under-20's Player of the Year.
