The 28-year-old, who debuted for the Sea Eagles in 2006, will stay on with the club until at least the end of the 2013 season.
"Gorgeous George" says he's glad he can carry on his long relationship with the club.
"It's pretty much a home for me, Manly, and it's the place that I always wanted to stay, even before we won the grand final.
"It's just a good bunch of players, great staff and a club that I really enjoy."
Rose says he looks forward to defending Manly's NRL Premiership title under new head coach Geoff Toovey.
"I was very proud of my first Premiership and it's something that I do want to strive for, to defend it with this team of players.
"We've worked hard for a number of years to get to where we are and I really want to go back-to-back."
"Even if we can't, I'll have a lot of fun trying to either way."
As well as his high-impact running, Rose brings valuable experience to the team and plays a big role in supporting and developing Manly's talented youngsters.
"We've got great young fellas coming through the club.
"That's one thing that I think we were really lucky with over the years is that everyone who's come up has really performed and showed their capability.
"I'm looking forward to playing more with these guys as well as meeting some more new young fellas to come through the ranks."

Source: www.manlyseaeagles.com.auManly forward George Rose will tomorrow night (Tuesday) face a further operation following the compound fracture of the right ankle suffered in last Saturday's match against the Melbourne Storm.
Manly doctor, Paul Bloomfield said the second operation was necessary to reduce the risk of infection because of the compound fracture/dislocation which took place. Rose underwent a three hour operation after midnight on Sunday morning after his fibula was fractured and the deltoid ligament was badly torn. The report from hospital today was that he is comfortable after the operation.
The popular prop, in his second season with the Sea Eagles, has been swamped by fans wishing him a successful recovery.
