Source: www.quins.co.ukBrian McDermott has strengthened his squad for Friday night's crunch game against Salford at the Willows. After a weekend off and with no serious injuries resulting from their victory over Hull FC, Quins RL have named the same seventeen plus an additional three for Friday's match.
Anthony Stewart has been named in the preliminary squad to face the club from which he was granted a release, and injured forwards Danny Williams and Solomon Haumono have also both been named in the 20.
Stewart is yet to make his Quins debut while Williams (broken hand) and Haumono (hamstring) have been out for a month.
With six games to play in the regular season before the top six teams move into the play-offs and the bottom six say farewell, there is all to play for.
At the top St Helens have at least one hand on the league leader's shield while there is a three-way pursuit between Leeds, Hull FC and Bradford for that all-important second position which guarantees a second bite at the cherry.
While the current top four are all safe and secure there are some seven teams 'mathematically' capable of qualifying for the two places up for grabs and almost as many susceptible to relegation.
The chasing pack includes Huddersfield (18), Quins (17), Castleford (17), Wigan (14) and Catalans (14). These teams are hoping that the current occupants of fifth (Warrington - 22) and sixth (Salford - 20) take a few falls in the closing stages.
When Quins last played at the Willows a Henry Paul drop goal from forty out sealed a magic last gasp victory against the Reds.
If Quins were to beat Salford on Friday night and league leaders St Helens were to beat Huddersfield at Knowsley Road, Harlequins would find themselves just one point out of the play-offs with five matches remaining. A big game? You bet.
The whole game will be live online through BBC London 94.9fm while the second half will also be broadcast live on BBC London 94.9fm radio. The game kicks off at 8pm.
Harlequins: Budworth, Bradley-Qalilawa, Dorn, Gafa, Heckenberg, Haumono, Hopkins, McLinden, Wells, Smith, Leuluai, Mills, Randall, Purdham, Paul, Worrincy, Tookey, Noone, Stewart, Williams
Quins RL are next at home at 3pm on Saturday 12th August against reigning Super League Champions, Bradford Bulls.

Source: www.quins.co.ukHarlequins Rugby League has today secured the services of one new player and is poised to announce another coaching appointment ahead of Saturday's game against Hull FC.
Salford winger Anthony Stewart has this week arrived at Quins RL and has been named in Brian McDermott's 20-man squad for Saturday.
Signed initially on loan from St Helens in 2004 for a season, Karl Harrison made Anthony a permanent fixture at Salford after Super League IX. Stewart made his first team debut for St Helens against Paris St German in 1997.
Harlequins RL Head Coach, Brian McDermott commented:
"He's a very useful player and his style of play will fit nicely here. On top of that he's a good bloke and that's very important.
"With any new staff or players it's vitally important that they have the right personal attributes and Anthony has."Stewart joins fellow newcomer Paul Noone who arrived at Quins from Warrington on Monday. Both players are not on loan but have been transferred to the London club.
Missing from last week's team is Joe Mbu (dislocated shoulder) and Zeb Luisi (broken hand) while McDermott also adds Michael Worrincy, Tim Hartley and Jon Wells to the squad.
In other news Harlequins RL will host a special Fans' Forum before the game at 1.30pm where Chairman, Ian Lenagan will be on hand to answer questions. Saturday is 12 months to the day that Ian Lenagan became Chairman of the London club.
Quins RL will also be hosting a special event pre-match for invited guests who have been nominated for Volunteer of the Year Awards. The three categories include: Young Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Rugby League Teacher of the Year.
