Wed July 18, 2007 Source: www.hullfc.comHull FC half-back Anthony Thackeray completed his move to National League One cluv Castleford Tigers today. Thackeray has signed until the end of the season and is expected to make his debut against Batley Bulldogs at Mount Pleasant on Sunday. The 21-year-old had a spell on loan with Castleford's rivals York City Knights earlier in the season before returning to Hull and making his debut against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on April 28. Thackeray has made two Super League appearances for Hull but has not been able to command a regular first team place. Chief executive James Rule said: "We wish Anthony well for the future and believe this is a good move for him.
"It is an opportunity for him to play at a higher standard than we could guarantee here in our under 21s. He needs to be tested and challenged to progress."News sent by: www.hullfc.com
