Tolman, who made his NRL debut in Round six against the Raiders and has played three first-grade games this year, resisted offers from several other clubs to remain in Melbourne.
Given Tolman's impressive development with the Storm, his re-signing is another important piece in the future planning of the club.
"Aiden has come through our developmental system and has played extremely well this year, forcing his way into NRL calculations most weeks," said Storm coach Craig Bellamy.
"He made his debut against the Raiders when most of our players were available, and we see Aiden as an important player for the future.
"He's definitely a Melbourne Storm type of player. He works hard and does all of the little things that are so important in the way we play here.
"Aiden had expressions of interest from other clubs, but his re-signing shows once again that we've got a pretty special environment here in Melbourne and players are willing to stay for extended periods."
Tolman is delighted to have re-committed to the Storm and believes Melbourne is the best place to be for both his football career and his life away from the club.
"The main reason for staying in Melbourne was I know all the guys and I'm comfortable here," said Tolman.
"My girlfriend is settled and happy here too and that also played a part.
"With the coaching staff we have here I can't imagine being in a better learning environment, and the club has helped me immensely over two years I've already been here.
"Now I've just got to knuckle down and work hard and do my best to force my way into being a regular in the first-grade team."
