Bulls sign Walker to new 12 month deal

Bradford Bulls have announced that Centre Chev Walker has signed a new 12 month contract with the club.

Walker, who joined the club from Hull KR late last year, made his comeback from a broken foot, sustained in the Challenge Cup Tie at Halifax in May, in the game against Crusaders yesterday.

Walker is delighted to have signed a new contract with the club.

"I've counted every day that I've been out and am absolutely delighted to have signed again. I've loved the place since I arrived and felt welcome from day one, so I'm thrilled to be here again next season and to be part of the club's future. Missing so much of my first year at the club has been really frustrating but the fans and the club have eased the pain of not being able to play."

Coach Mick Potter is glad to have the player on board for next season:

"Chev brings so much professionalism to the club. He has a fantastic work ethic and is very versatile - he can play back row, centre, I could even throw him on the wing if we were really struggling with injuries. He's got the ability to put big hits in and to break the line, he's solid in defence, and that's what you want from your edge players."

Kyle Briggs and Chev Walker have been named in Mick Potter's Squad for Sunday's game at home to Crusaders.

Walker has not played since breaking his foot in the Challenge Cup Tie at Halifax in May whilst Briggs has had a broken hand and a Hernia operation. Nick Scruton and Marc Herbert are unavailable for the season whilst Shad Royston has an elbow injury.

The Squad in full is:
