New deal for young Londoner
Fri August 18, 2006

Harlequins RL have added three players to last week's winning team for Saturday's game against Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, including captain Mark McLinden, Zeb Luisi and Joe Mbu.

McLinden was forced out last week with a back problem while Mbu and Luisi return from shoulder injuries which they both picked up in the St Helens' game four weeks ago.

Missing from the squad for Quins RL is back-rower Michael Worrincy who this week signed a new two-year deal with the club. Worrincy made his top-flight debut this season against Bradford in May although has been recently sidelined with an ankle injury. The south-east Londoner spent the 2005 season on loan with Hull FC Academy before returning to the capital to join Harlequins RL senior squad.

The former Greenwich Admirals' player is delighted with his new deal: "It's what I have always wanted and this gives me the chance to continue to work hard and develop as a player. I think it's good for other young Londoners to see what can be achieved if you put your mind to it."

Halrlequins RL this week also announced the signing of Melbourne Storm's Scott Hill. The former Kangaroo International and NSW State of Origin star will join Quins RL next season on a two year deal. Hill commented: "Heading for London is a big opportunity for me and one which I am really looking forward to. Harlequins are a professional outfit with a lot of ambition and that appealed to me."

A win for Harlequins against Warrington on Saturday night would see them move just one point behind the sixth placed Wolves in the engage Super League with three rounds remaining. After Saturday's game Quins RL will play Castleford away (3pm Sunday 3 September), Wigan at home (3pm Sunday 10 September) and Salford at home (3pm Saturday 16 September).

Paul Sykes will feature on tonight's Quins RL segment on BBC London 94.9fm at 7.30pm.

Tickets continue to sell well for Quins' Challenge Cup Party at the Twickenham Stoop on Saturday 26th August. Tickets are £10 each ? 020 8410 6000.

Warrington Wolves 20-man squad: Reardon, Fa'afili, M. Gleeson, Kohe-Love, Grose, Briers, Bridge, Leikvoll, Sullivan, Rauhihi, Wainwright, Swann, Westwood, M. Gleeson, Wood, Barnett, Bracek, Cooper, Harrison, Riley.

Harlequins RL 20-man squad: Bradley-Qalilawa, Budworth, Dorn, Gafa, Haumono, Heckenberg, Hopkins, Luisi, Mbu, McLinden, Mills, Noone, Paul, Purdham, Randall, Smith, Stewart, Sykes, Tookey, Williams.

Referee: S Ganson

Saturday's game will be televised live on Sky Sports from 6pm.
