Tue June 13, 2006 Source: Leigh Centurions Leigh Centurions have today been given a timely boost before this weekends Northern Rail semi final clash against Workington with the news that their outstanding young player Chris Hill has signed a new four year contract that will keep him at Hilton Park until the end of the 2010 season. A very pleased Head Coach Tony Benson stated, "This is excellent news for the club. Chris has been in superb form this season, and has seen him mature into a first team player and also represent England U18's. Tony added, "Chris has shown immense maturity and professionalism both on and off the field this season and I am pleased he has pledged his future to Leigh. We have a clear player development plan for which Chris is just one of the key signings we intend to make in the very near future."Chris Hill added, "I am pleased to have signed my new contract at Leigh. I am enjoying my rugby and the team spirit we have at Leigh is second to none. The club have spoken to me about their long term plan and I think with the new stadium coming soon, Leigh are going to be a very successful club for which I want to be apart of."
