Source: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukBradford Bulls have suffered a major injury blow with the news that Back Row Forward Glenn Morrison will miss the rest of the season.
Morrison has missed two games after suffering what was believed to be a dead leg against Leeds and hoped to be fit for the game against St Helens this week. However, once swelling around his knee finally subsided, serious damage was revealed and a specialist confirmed the loose forward had both torn a quad and broken part of his kneecap.
Morrison, who now faces an operation to re-attach the muscle along with three months in a leg brace said today:
"I wasn't expecting this. I just thought I'd got a bad 'cork.' I tried running it off and it was pretty sore but there was no one left on the bench so I stuck it out. It is disappointing but the one positive is I'm signed next year.
"Hopefully I'll be right for a big off-season, which I didn't get this time, and ready for a big 2009."
Steve McNamara is very disappointed at the news and feels for his Vice Captain:
"We're all just really devastated for Glenn more than anything and he's understandably absolutely gutted. How he managed to carry on playing with that injury shows just what sort of an amazing character he is. It's unbelievable really. It turned out he didn't sleep for four nights due to the pain. He tried to do everything he could to get back for last week's match and was going to hold his hand up again but we suspected there was something more sinister going on. It's another situation we've got to deal with but we will get on and do that."

Source: www.bradfordbulls.co.ukBradford Bulls, have today announced that Back Row Forward Glenn Morrison has agreed a new one year extension to his contract and will remain at the Grattan Stadium until the end of 2009.
Morrison, who joined the Bulls from Parramatta Eels at the start of the 2007 season has made 37 appearances and scored 16 tries for the club.
Speaking today Glenn Morrison said:
"I'm happy here, it's a great club and I think Steve McNamara's on the right path, getting us going in the right direction. I want to be a part of that and hopefully lift some silverware before I'm done. When I came over here I didn't want to be on my last legs. I wanted to be playing good footy and hopefully earn that third year. I've done that and I'm delighted and it's great that I'll be with Bradford for another season. Now I want to accomplish things and get to finals. I'm really enjoying myself and love playing under Macca, while the boys here are great."
Bulls Coach Steve McNamara is delighted with his first signing for the club.
"I am absolutely delighted that Glenn has agreed to stay at the Bulls for the next twelve months. Glenn has been first class, both on and off the field, since the day he arrived and I am delighted he will be with us next year. He is the consummate professional and he is vitally important to the team and how we play."
